turisti.
odpravljata v Piran.
nasmejali. Po treh urah zbiranja vtisov smo se zopet vsi skupaj zbrali in si izmenjali izkušnje. Dijaki
smo bili pozitivno presenečeni nad prijaznostjo in vljudnostjo turistov. S sodelovanjem v projektu
združuje različne kulture in zbližuje ljudi.
VEČ JEZIKOV ZNAŠ, VEČ VELJAŠ 😉

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES
by Jera Aideen Schiffrer
The European day of languages takes place every year on the 26th of September. This year our school (Jesenice Grammar school) and two other schools in our area decided to visit Bled and talk to some tourists while practicing speaking in foreign languages at the same time.
While walking around Bled we met quite a few tourists, most were older Englishmen, who arrived a day prior to us talking to them. There was a big group of them dispersed all around Bled. They were very kind and talkative. All of them said they have liked Slovenia so far, they find it very clean and it reminds them of Switzerland and Austria. Our group also talked to two Chinese girls, around college age. They were a bit shyer than the English but were still very nice and agreed to take a picture with us. Another group managed to help out some Czech tourists with their car that got stuck in the mud due to the rainy weather. Most of the tourists we met and talked to were happy to answer our questions and even asked us some. For most Bled was just a starting point and they plan on going around Slovenia, some even through the rest of Europe.
European day of languages is a great opportunity to leave your comfort zone and use foreign languages. Even though we were a bit shy and apprehensive at first, we soon started to have real conversations with the tourists and they did not mind it at all, which just shows that we are scared for no reason most of the time. I would have never just gone up to a tourist and start talking to them before, would you?
